Wine Run Rioja Alavesa 2025: Popular Walk Information

We provide you with all the necessary information to participate in the Wine Run Rioja Alavesa next Sunday, October 26.

Discover all the activities that will take place in the OFFICIAL PROGRAM.

On the MAP, you can find the location of the different event sites in Oyón-Oion.

Also, pay special attention to the following points:

Bib Collection

You can collect your participant bag for the popular walk on Saturday afternoon (from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM) and on Sunday (from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM) at the ‘‘Toki Alai’’ Fronton, on Calle Fueros (Oyón-Oion).

To avoid delays and crowds, we advise you to come early, having your ID and bib number ready, which you will receive via SMS. You can collect another person’s participant bag by presenting their ID or a photocopy.

Popular Walk Start

The start of the Popular Walk will be at 11:00 AM from the area indicated on the map (at Calle Fueros, 6): See location.

Popular Walk Services

Participants in the popular walk will receive a wine glass when collecting your participant bag, which you can use to taste three wines from local wineries along the route.

Popular Walk Wineries

The Popular Walk includes three stops at different wineries where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine. At each stop, you can have one glass, totaling 3 wines along the route (see on the map):

• Bodega Piérola
• Cooperativa Vinícola COMY
• Bodegas Bujanda

Participants must carry the ticket during the walk and show it at the wineries. Without presenting the ticket, the wine glass will NOT be given at the wineries.

Wine and Gastronomy Fair

After completing the runs, you can enjoy the Wine and Gastronomy Fair, located at Plaza de los Fueros (next to the race finish line). Additionally, your participant bag includes a ticket to redeem for a Wine and a Pintxo.

Here you can enjoy wines from the wineries Pago de Larrea, Las Orcas, Pascual Larrieta, Ondalán, Heredad de Aduna, Bodega Bello Berganzo, Frías del Val, Bodega Casa Peque, and Piérola, as well as delicious Eusko Label meat from Euskal Parrilla and many other food stalls.

Popular Paella

This year as well, on Sunday, after the race, starting at 2:00 PM, a Popular Paella will be served in the Wine and Gastronomy Fair area.

Beforehand, both on Saturday afternoon (from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM) and on Sunday morning (9:30–10:15 AM) at the ‘‘Toki Alai’’ Fronton (Calle Fueros), tickets can be purchased.
